Mama - I love you ....

Sunday was Mothers Day over here in the UK, We went over to See both set's of Parents (Mine and the in-laws)

We didn't do a lot - just had afternoon tea at the in laws and then a meal at my parents.

What I wore:

Once upon a time ............

....................... in a faraway land called Blogworld, there lived a girl named Candycane.

One day Candycane was wandering through Blogworld when she stumbled upon a beautiful princess named Marie, Marie was undertaking a challenge for herself to dress as Disney Character's for a week.

Hmmmm thought Candycane to herself I think I would like to have a go at that myself ... now who could I be?

She thought and thought and then the answer struck her, with her hair as black as coal, her ruby red lips and her skin as white as snow - there was only one person she could possibly be .. so she set about planning her outfit right away.

Unfortunately for CC she came across a few evil witches on the way which delayed her outfit post ....

Should i eat the apple? thought Candycane!!

Eventually Candycane got to wear her Snow White outfit and all was right with the world once again!

Snow White had to go run some errands so needed a jacket :D

After running her Errands Snow White/Candycane was very tired and so had to have a lie down - don't worry the apple did not poison her - and all the little animals watched over her whilst she napped.

And they all lived Happily Ever After ..................

Wore this outfit today - when I wear this top and skirt together it always reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's ... and my tenuous link there is that the blog title is the lyrics of a song called Breakfast at Tiffany's by Deep blue Something. See what i did there?? Huh??Huh?? :D

Had a manic day at work today, was soooo busy - then had a staff meeting and appointments to rush to, phonecalls to sort - it had me a little frazzled to say the least!!

But it was an ok day :)

This is what I wore to work on Tues, I know it's a mixture of last weeks outfits - lazy moi?? But I quite liked the results, laid back, relaxed but still smart and work like! My trousers are a bit too big for me - spesh round the derriere ;P

I wanna rock n roll all night ....

Went to see Heavens Basement at Rock city on Friday - had a fantastic night! The band were amazing even if they have lost there lead singer (he decided to leave just before there tour!!) The new "step in" guy was great!!

We got pictures with the band afterwards (Here are just a couple - New singer Johnny and Guitarist Jonny)

It started to get messy at the club after - Sambuca shots were involved haha :D

This is what I wore for work in the day on Friday - before rushing round like a mad woman to get back and have a bath (Which was cold might I add :'( ) and get ready and get to the hotel which is an hours journey away, before going to see the bands! (There were 2 other bands on also)

This is what I wore for work yesterday - I went shopping and had a coffee with my hubby after work - which was nice as he's been away for a couple of days - missed him loads!!!

Bought a new leather biker jacket, Pair of Jeans and some new leggings... wore the Jeans and Jacket to go have my stitches taken out today - I look like I'd left my Harley somewhere :D .....

I'm a hoarder ....

As I was doing some household cleaning today I was looking at some of the items I was washing, mainly cups, bowls, plates etc and I was thinking about when I had acquired, bought them etc .. I had cups that I had when I was at uni 10 years ago .. each thing has a memory attached - a little story about where it came from, or when it was used, if something significant happened at that time in my life.



I keep everything, I'm such a hoarder, I have tons of old magazines at my mum and dad's (yes ... still) I have scraps of paper, concert tickets, hell when I was young I used to keep popcorn buckets from the cinema if I had seen a particularly good film!!!





I love being able to look at stuff and remember different aspects of my life, good memories and the bad!
I know some people whose house's are "junk" free and minimalist - I guess this will never be me - I save peoples Christmas cards and tags for heavens sake!! :D





This was what I wore to work last Thurs - sorry for the delay in posting - my schedule is all topsy turvey this week!
I have to go to the docs on Thurs this week as my stitches STILL haven't dissolved - am NOT looking forward to going!!
