I got my head checked .... By a jumbo jet

Well not quite ....

I got my results from my CT scan today, so it was an early start (Hence having nowhere in the living room to take pics because of the sun!!)

Got to the hospital at 9.15am .. and by 11.30am I was still sat there waiting ... oh all this after being sent to the WRONG department 3 times!!!

What a palaver!

Anyway - the results showed no significant abnormalities, but as they are still not sure what is causing the headaches etc, they want me to now have an MRI Scan, which I was meant to be having in the first place - to test the blood vessels!

After finally getting out of the hosp, we were both starving Marvin's (me and the hubs that is) so we went to Maccy D's ;) and were going to go catch Toy Story 3 at the cinema, but it was really sunny day so decided not to sit in a dark room!

And went DIY stores instead - what, wait, there not outside?? Logic please people?

Got some wallpaper samples and then did the weekly shop!!

Revisiting the past ...

Today I went over to my mum and dad's house to go through some things in my old bedroom, Mum and Dad are wanting an office and even though I moved out a loooong time ago, a lot of my childhood stuff is still there ... Plus a lot of newly acquainted things that are NOT MINE!!!

It was really fun to go through all of the things, and we only got one side of boxes done!

In amongst my things was my Grandmas wedding gown and veil, plus a load of my Nanna's old letters, jewellery, photos and I found a great leather coin purse and a pair of brown leather gloves .. which found there way home with me :D

Will have to go back next week and try to do some more, there is just SOOOOO much stuff!

On Tuesday one of my best friends came over to play :)

I met her on the first day of Uni, 10 years ago and we have been bezzie mates ever since!

Needless to say we gossiped and caught up for hours and hours with endless cups of tea and choccies ;P

I didn't have shoes on in these pics as I wasn't leaving my house!!

Had my belated b'day party on Saturday night - as we were away straight after my actual birthday .. just went for a meal and drinks with all my bezzie friends!

Road Trip 2

So onto part two of our road trip, we travelled from Blackpool to a place called Ingleton and went on a 5 mile hike of the Waterfalls - it was so bliss full and peaceful!

I wore these shoes only in the car journeys - can't be hiking in heels now can I? :D

After our walk and picnic lunch we checked in at the third hotel on our list! And again went for a swim and in the spa facilities before changing for dinner!

The next day I had my b'day present from my husband, which was a spa day including a 1hr full body massage and sunbed! After that we went into the pool, sauna and all that again.

Before heading out for a late lunch and a potter around the town Kirkby Lonsdale - which was very pretty and quaint!

Road Trip part 1!

So onto the next installment of my road trip story .....

We went to Bolton Abbey for the day and for a walk around the river!

The next day we headed into Blackpool for the day! Blackpool for those that don't know is full of casino's, arcades and theme park rides .. so they call it the Vegas of the north!

The first day of our road trip Oop North was spent in Harrogate at one of my best friends weddings!

It was SUCH a good day and brought back so many memories of our own nuptials, in the morning I was a little worried as it was rainy but as the day went on the sun broke out and there wasn't a cloud in the sky by the time the Bride arrived, looking stunning might I add!

The next day it was Mine and Gra's 1st wedding anniversary!!!!! After opening all of our cards and presents, we went into Harrogate for the day and to the famous Betty's Tea Rooms for lunch and cakes :D

Then had a wander around the town, found a great vintage store - it was MASSIVE, sadly didn't buy anything!
