Totally Tropical!

Gra had the day off work yesterday, as we were finally getting our living room ceiling painted, from when we had that leak a while before Xmas!! ... And after that we went out to the shops to have a look at baby things :D

Had a good look around all the different shops, there is so much to think about .. saw a really lovely collection in Babies R Us .. so we will have a think about it and see what happens.

Also picked up my bag of freebies from the Bounty club - it contains things like nappies, cream and fabric softener etc!

I wore some pretty vintage parrot earrings, but I forgot to get a close up of them (if I remember I will add one soon) but they are very similar to the ones above, except they are a lot more colourful and bright :D

Riding boots?

I'm off work on holiday this week, so thought I would make use of the time and go and have my hair done :D

It was in desperate need of a cut!

Hopefully it will be easy to maintain, as at the moment my hair has a life of it's own! :D

Now onto what I wore on Sunday:

I didn't do much in the day at all, Hubby had made a miraculous recovery from his "flu" in time to go to the Rugby so he was out so I just lazed and then we went to my parents for a meal.

Last night we were going out to a friends 40th birthday do at a local pub, although in the end my hubby didn't come as he had a cold, which has miraculously disappeared enough for him to go to the Rugby today LOL!

I went for comfort, but also wanted to look nice as well :)

Had a really good time catching up with friends!

Painted my nails a new colour that my Mum got me from Avon yesterday, its called Cement Grey, It comes out as a matte finish - which i wasn't really all that keen on ...

.... Looks a bit like when you used to tippex your nails at school and then colour them in with felt tip pens (No?? .. Just me?? ;P)


So I added a clear top coat .. and liked it soooo much more!

Also wanted to show you the bag my Mum bought for me for Xmas, it's the one I mentioned a little while back that has the little Russian Dolls lining inside ...

Fab huh?

It matches one of my Doll necklaces and the umbrella she also got me :D I love my Mummy :D

1 dress 2 ways .....

Wore this dress 2 different ways this week, I wasn't sure at first if it would still fit me as it is a size 8, but the fabric is sooo lovely and stretchy that it fit perfectly over my bump and didn't squish me at all .. I felt v comfortable all day!

We went to my Father in Law's b'day meal on Tuesday evening - was v good!

Wednesday I tried the dress a different way by layering a basic black v neck tee underneath it .. I liked the results!

This is what I received for Valentines day :D Good to know!

We didn't swap gifts or anything, just cards and then cooked a meal together last night ... I made a Snickers Cheesecake - I've never cooked a "baked" cheesecake before - its a bit different to what I expected ... Its more like a sponge on top of a biscuit base, was fairly nice though LOL!

As you will know if you have followed my blog for a while, I can be a bit funny about what people wear as work wear, And like to dress smartly for school!

This top for me would usually be worn for casual outings, but it looked so comfy and inviting when I saw it yesterday morning, I couldn't resist! .. Don't judge me :D

Have been struggling a bit with my legs and shoulders the last couple of days .. so wasn't at work! Back today though .. and this is what I wore!

I look a little dishevelled as I didn't have time to take the pics before work .. and I got stuck in traffic for nearly 2 hours on the way home (For a normal 20 min journey!!!) so I was a bit ... umm knackered shall we say?? :P

Do you like my pattern mixing .. had to show you my funky socks as well .. there thigh high but I rolled them down a little!
