Are you going to a party? (Plus 70's haul)

When I wore this outfit a few weeks back some children on our street asked me if i was going to a party?

I wasn't but it was nice to think they thought i was dressed as if i were :D

What I Wore:

Tunic: Papaya @ matalan.

Vest: Cherokee @ Tesco.

Jeans: Asda.

Shoes: F+F @ Tesco.

I actually went over to my mum and dads for tea and they had been sorting out a lot of things from there loft ... Mum showed me a bunch of old clothes she had got stored up there form the 70's .... I loved these shoes instant,y!!!!

Snake skin platforms ina cherry red colour - there a bit tight on me but i couldn't let them go somewhere else so they came home with me ... as did these items below ....

The glittery top and skirt is what my mum wore on her wedding day at the wedding reception :D

I'm still running a little behind with my blog posts - these pictures are from Mothers day ... as i haven't been feeling very well it was nice to be able to go out with totsy and my mum and family and have a meal, even if i felt a bit ropey afterwards :s

This was an outfit I wore to work a couple of weeks back, which i then changed the shoes (to those in the pictures) and wore to go to a vintage tea and macaron making session with my mum!!

It was my gift to my Mum for Christmas so it was nice to be able to go and share it with her ...

We went to the children's service at church and then back to theres for a "snacky" tea :)

And then this outfit was worn on Boxing Day ... 

After lunch we all went back over to my Mum and Dads again for a buffet style tea with lots of yummy treats :D

Anniversary Party ...

So it was my Mum and Dads 40th Wedding anniversary the other weekend and we had a family party at a local restaurant!

Was so lovely to see people that we haven't seen for a long time and have a catch up .. they even had there bridesmaids and best man there :D 

We got the photo albums out and checked out the 70's fashions also ;)

Mothers Day!

This is what I wore on Mothers Day! 

We were originally going out for a meal, but as my Mum wasn't well, my Dad cooked us a meal and me and Tots went on over to there place.

Lissy made me a lovely card  (You can see it on the mantelpiece in the pic above) and gave me a box of Chocolates :D But best of all were her kisses and hugs :D

Paddy's and Mama's Day!

This is what I wore on Sunday for Mothers Day (My first one with my gorgeous baby girl :D)

She bought me a bracelet (I will get a pic), some cupcakes, a mug saying "I love my mummy", some chocs and a lovely card - but do you know the best present - is EVERY moment I spend with her!!!!! I love her so much!

We invited the in laws around and had a buffet style lunch and then a walk in the lovely sunshine :D

The day before was St Patricks Day so I had to indulge in a bit of green so I did, to be sure, to be sure ;P

I do find it weird however that we (as English) know when, and celebrate St Patricks Day and yet I would say the majority (me included) don't know when our patron St Day is (St George!!).

Do we all secretly crave to be Oirish? Or do we just enjoy a good Craic!! :D

We went to the opening of an envelope - oops no, sorry - but I prob would LOL - No we went to the opening of a local sweet shop that my hubby has done some business with!

And then had a potter round some shops etc!

Día de las Madres!!

This is what I wore for our Mexican Themed evening for Mothers Day (On Sunday)

I originally had another dress in mind, but we had a LOT of food to be consumed and wanted to be comfortable!

I think everyone enjoyed it and the food was SOOOOOO yummy!

My mother had an added surprise this year ... she managed to break her foot and spent the morning at hospital after slipping off a step!!!!

Sunday was Mothers Day over here in the UK, We went over to See both set's of Parents (Mine and the in-laws)

We didn't do a lot - just had afternoon tea at the in laws and then a meal at my parents.
