I'm turning Japenese ..

This weekend was one of my oldest and dearest friends Hen do, so I drove up to Leeds on the Saturday afternoon.

For as long as I can remember Hannah has been in my life, when we were babies our mothers used to take us out in our prams together, and from that moment on we were inseparable - we used to do everything together .. right up until the age of around 18/19 when distance drew us apart and we went to university in different cities.

After that life kind of took over and we saw less and less of each other .. and until my wedding last year probably hadn't seen each other for around 4ish years :(

However as soon as we saw each other it was like that time gap had never existed!

I am so glad she invited me and that I get to be a part of her wedding soon!

What I wore:

This outfit is what I wore to go out for a Japanese meal and drinks on the Saturday night, however as I didn't get a full shot of my clothes, Ive made it up from times Ive worn the items before:

Workplace wear!

What do you consider to be workplace wear? I know it differs depending on what job you do, or even where you live, but for me in my job (education) I like to think I dress smartly and appropriately for the workday!

Sometimes I'll put an outfit together and then change it, if it's too low cut or the skirt is too short etc, and i would never consider wearing denim .. unless its a special day .. or for charity or something.
I also like to feel good in my clothes and "responsible"
But I know of teachers (especially males I might add) that wear a shirt and jeans to work, I just don't feel it gives the right feeling of respect ..

or is it just me???

Please?? It's been another gloomy day here in Candycane Towers :'( Rain, Rain, Rain!

Thankfully I was inside today - as I swapped classes as some of the other ones were on a trip to a farm!!

Feeling quite tired and headachy today .. so think I'll have a relaxing evening snuggled up in front of the box .. and shut the nasty night out .. can we have Mr Sun back please .. or I'll sing my sun song .. (then it'll never stop raining LOL)

Zacs christening!

Sunday was our friends baby Zac's christening and my husband Gra was becoming a godparent!

We had a lovey time at the christening and it was good to catch up with all of our friends that we don't get to see that often!

After the christening we went to the pub for a buffet tea, and then Gra and I came home ... belly's full to popping to watch the World Cup Final .. and YIPPPEEEE my team Spain won .. was v happy!!!

Peace, Love and Vera Wang ...

Yesterday we went shopping ... we set off from home around 4.45ish and got in at 11.45pm!!!!!!!

First of all we went to pick up my new reading glasses - My new Vera Wang's :D (Will get a pic of them shortly).

They are super cute and have just the right amount of bling on them! :D

Plus now I can see a whole bunch better ;P

After that we went to a shopping mall to look for a present for a Christening we are going to (My husband is going to be godfather) and also I want a dress for a summer wedding that is coming up .. didn't find one .. although I did get this little beauty from Miss Selfridge!

Ive been wanting a denim cropped waistcoat for aaaaages and then spotted this one .. it looked great with this vintage maxi skirt!

Plus I had a voucher to spend so instead of it being 35.00 I got it for £16!

After trying on millions (or so it seemed) of maxi dresses, and not finding "the one" we went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner, I had the most gorgeous, chicken, bacon and guacamole salad .. and a waffle with vanilla ice cream for afters YUM!!

It was getting pretty late by now, so we left the mall (after being locked in the car park oops) and headed to the huge ASDA to have a look around .. then over to another supermarket for a few bits, before returning home!

Red Sports Day!

So this was Thursday's outfit du jour!

I felt like wearing something empowering and noticeable after the other day!

We had another school sports day today - which was fun, and got to get out of the classroom and mingle with other members of staff and parents, I ended up being on the refreshment stall - so at least I felt useful as well .. and not just standing around clapping ;P
