Livin on the wedge...

Today I went shop, shop shopping .... woooooohooooo

I've been after a dress for my friends wedding for a while, and spotted one I liked online the other day, however I'm a bit funny about buying things online, cause a lot of the time I don't like things when I've tried them on!

Is anyone else like this??

So off I went to the next town over .. where they have most high street shops, not like our town where we only have a couple ... And there in Dorothy Perkins was the dress I'd seen online., once on it was love at (2nd) sight :D

I also tried on two other dresses and they were beautiful too, but I could only afford one of them!

I did get a day dress, a top and belt in the sales though .. oh and some new underwear lol.

Seeing as I couldn't even be bothered to get showered and dressed till gone 12.00 today (woop for holidays) I think I had a very productive day ....

Cafe Latte!

Today I went to the hairdressers, decided to go for a different look for Summer (Yes I get bored easily and change my mind every few days lol)

I decided to go for an iced latte colour and have blonde highlights running through it - pretty similar to what I had two summers ago!

It just breaks it up and gives it a bit of movement and oomph!

Was colder than I expected it to be today and I hadn't got a cardie to hand so shoved my leather jacket on over the top of my dress!

A day at the races.....

As I said in my last post we went to York races on Saturday with some friends - we had an excellent day out! The weather was perfect and was nice to be able to sit in the sunshine and just relax and have a few bets!

Today we had a late breakkie and a bit of a lie in (we stayed over again at our friends house) and then met up with the same friends and we all went to a carvery and for drinks before Gra and I travelled home (which took longer than expected because of a crash on the m1 :( )

In the blue ...

This weekend we travelled up to Leeds again (same place as last week, but to see different friends)

As this time we were going to be going to the races .. see next post :D

On the Friday night we just got our friends house, they cooked us a delish meal, some more friends popped over and we played a quiz game on the wii and drank some lovely wine!!

What I wore:

My bag that I bought on honeymoon last year in the labour day sales .. has only just come out of its lovely tissue paper that was keeping it all nice and safe! :D

This is what I wore for the last day of term .. yup it's now SUMMER HOLIDAYS wooohoooo :)

My husband told me y'day that I reminded him of a cow in this dress - how nice and polite huh? TSSS men!

I went for my CT scan at the hospital yesterday afternoon, was OK, just had to lie on the table and pass through a "giant polo" as they described it! Don't get my results for another 4 weeks though!!

Also have to have more bloods done as the last lot came back inconclusive GRR ARG!! I'm a medical mystery!!

(All in all a v inexpensive outfit!!)

Closer than Close ...

This is what I wore to work on Tuesday:

It was such a hot, sticky and humid day! Not nice at all .. we really needed a good ol thunderstorm to break up the closeness feel in the air!

As soon as I got home from work (my last Tuesday before the summer vacay, woooop) I changed into shorts and a vest top for the rest of the night!

Before chilling with a nice meal, glass of wine and the wii (hubby was out!! :) )
